Not the 80′s US hair metal band (although they had an extra ‘t’) but a young UK based four piece consisting of Jack Simkin (vocals/guitar), Simon J Court (guitar), James Simkin (bass) and Jes Hartley (drums). They have supported a few bands to date including Mr Big and Jettblack.
Now after a fair few spins of this four song EP I can’t get on with the vocals. Sorry but to these ears they lack any clout to raise the band to the lofty heights of their musical heroes like Aerosmith and Whitesnake. That said the guitar playing is very accomplished with a few flash solos like on ‘Guardian Angel’.
