SINWELL – One And One- All For One- Number Two

7Hard (Release date – Out now )

Alt-rockers Sinwell have been together for 5 years and released their debut album in 2008. As you may have guessed from the title, this is album number two and it is a rather good. The guys play a melodic pop rock, there are definite touches of Cheap Trick spread throughout the disc.

The eleven tracks on the record do prove to be a bit hit and miss though, but when they get it right they produce a polished sound with good melodies and catchy choruses. The two stand out tracks for me were ‘ The World’s A Different Place’ and ‘Peruvian Girl’ which tells the story of a mummified body found in Peru which had been a ritual sacrifice, doesn’t sound the best basis for a song but the band have created a cracker of a track in her honour.

This is a solid release from the Nuremberg based quartet that contains more hits than misses and should see them increasing their fanbase throughout the coming year.
