THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH – Leave The Future Behind

Two Sides Moon (Release date – out now)

In my experience the blue screen of death is very rarely a good thing so is naming your band thus asking for trouble? This particular incarnation are a four piece from Southampton who have been together for 4 years. Taking their musical direction from the likes of Kyuss and Fu Manchu the band play a fuzzed up, desert style rock but with south of England sensibilities.

Of the 8 tracks there is little to get excited about here. The guys have little new to offer and the best track on the disc,’Back Against The Wall’, is solidly based on a very Zep like riff, not the most original. The guys do have a sense of humour though which manifests itself in the song ‘What Would Arnie Do’, pointing to their love of action movies, possibly not the best role model for life!

Not an album I would rush back to, unless big Arnie persuaded me otherwise…
