This Sunday, 17 August, Irish popsters PictureHouse perform an exclusive set for the ‘In Session for GRTR!’ series.
The band formed back in the early-1990s, releasing their debut album ‘Shine Box’ in 1994. They followed that up with ‘Karmarama’ (1998) which earned them greater exposure on Irish radio and led to more touring which was then reflected in the 2000 live album ‘Bring The House Down.’
Further success followed in 2002 with the next studio album ‘Madness Sadness Gladness’ and the single ‘Everybody Loves My Girl’.
There followed a 10 year hiatus as the band went on hold for financial reasons – all their output had been self-funded.
In 2013 they re-grouped and recorded their latest album ‘Evolution’, the result of a songwriting session with Lasse Anderson (son of ABBA’s Stig Anderson) which produced several new songs and released on the Cherry Red Records label in July 2014.
Evolution features cowrites with Lasse Anderson and Graham Lyle, as well as appearances from Frankie Gavin of De Dannan and vocalist Ingrid Madsen.
