Bassist Tim Drummond who played with Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young has died at the age of 74.

Bonfire and vocalist Claus Lessmann have separated after nearly 30 years. The band will carry on with founder Hans Ziller being joined by vocalist David Reece (ex-Accept), keyboards player Paul Morris (ex-Rainbow), bassist Ronnie Parkes and long-standing drummer Harry Reischman. A second guitarist is still being sought and currently the band are in the studio working on a new album with producer Alessandro Del Vecchio.

James Christian has been singing the praises on Facebook of the upcoming House Of Lords album which is due in the first half of this year.

Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock have announced that their new album, ‘Spirit On A Mission’ will be released in March 23rd. This will be preceded by the single ‘Vigilante Man’, out on January 19th.

Idlewild release their new album, ‘Everything Ever Written’ on February 9th.

Stone Temple Pilots have started work on a new album, their first full album to feature Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington on vocals.

A January 12th appearance by the current lineup of Little River Band on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ was pulled after protests from original members including Glenn Shorrock.
