Tangerine Dream founder Edgar Froese has died at the age of 70.

A statement reads: “On January 20th, Tuesday afternoon, Edgar Froese suddenly and unexpectedly passed away from the effects of a pulmonary embolism in Vienna. The sadness in our hearts is immense.

“Edgar once said, ‘There is no death, there is just a change of our cosmic address.’ Edgar, this is a little comfort to us.”

The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund is planning a weekend of activities and fundraising in Los Angeles to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the singer’s untimely death from cancer on May 16th 2010. The weekend will include a public memorial service, as well as a celebrity bowling tournament and the inaugural ‘Ride For Ronnie’ motorcycle ride and barbecue.

Blues Pills release ‘Blues Pills Live’ as a limited edition on March 20th via Nuclear Blast.

Mabel Greer’s Toyshop, the band which morphed into Yes in 1968, have reunited and will release a new album, ‘A New Way Of Life’ on March 9th. The group was founded in 1966 by guitarist and vocalist Clive Bayley, drummer Bob Hagger and bassist Paul Rutledge.  The new line-up features Clive Bayley, Bob Hagger, Tony Kaye (ex-Yes), Billy Sherwood (ex-Yes) and Hugo Barre.

Steve Hackett releases his new album ‘Wolflight’ on March 30th.

Fotheringay have a the 4-disc box set (DVD/3CD), ‘Nothing More: The Collected Fotheringay’, released on March 30th via Universal Music.

Paradise Lost release their new album, ‘The Plague Within’ on June 1st through Century Media Records.

The Black Keys have cancelled all their upcoming European tour dates, as have Linkin Park who had just started a UK run of dates.

Ten has been confirmed as the headliner of this year’s Wildlife Festival, set to take place June 26th-28th, 2015 at Winston Lodge, Biggar,South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The festival will feature performances from the following bands: Tygers Of Pan Tang, Coldspell, Holocaust, Estrella and more.
