News: Get Ready to ROCK! launches popular poll for top rock album and live act of 2016

BAD COMPANY - Manchester Arena, 24 October 2016

Popular review website Get Ready to ROCK! has launched a popular poll so that readers and listeners can vote for their favourite album, live act and breakthrough act of 2016.

Since 2003 the website (www.getreadytorock.com) has published the reviewers’ selections for Top Albums and Live Acts.  This builds into a useful archive for each year.  The selections always reflect the eclectic nature of the enterprise with Get Ready to ROCK! encompassing a wider range of genres than most.

Says Reviews Editor Jason Ritchie: “The poll is a bit of fun in the run up to Christmas and allows readers and listeners to vote for their favourite.  They can use the reviewers’ list for starters and they may even agree with their choices but they can also leave the details of any album or artist that hasn’t been mentioned.”

Participants can optionally enter their email address for a prize draw to win a selection of 2016 albums, sponsored by German label earMUSIC.

In 2015 the Top Album selected in the popular poll was ‘Heroes And Villains’ by melodic rockers FM.  The Top Live Act was Vintage Trouble.

‘The Best Of 2016′ is featured in a special show on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio, Sunday 18 December at 22:00 GMT. when the popular vote countdown/results will be announced.
