News: RAMBLIN’ MAN FAIR announce first headliner for two day event (30 June/ 1 July 2018)

Ramblin’ Man Fair have announced their first headliner for the event taking place 30 June – 1 July.  British rock legends The Cult will play an exclusive festival set.

Scottish rockers Gun (pictured) have been added to the main stage line-up whilst Goldray and Voyager are added to the Prog in the Park Stage.

Already announced are acts such as Blackberry Smoke, Halestorm, Sons of Apollo (on the Main Stage), Steve Earle & the Dukes (Country Stage), Gov’t Mule (Blues Stage) and Fish (Prog in the Park Stage). More acts are to be announced.

The festival will take place in Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent  one of the largest parks in South East England.  There are multiple travel links via train (Ashford International, Maidstone East and Maidstone West in close proximity) and road (with three park and rides available around Maidstone). The festival site is also perfect for European festival goers with easy links to the London airports, Eurostar via Ashford Int’l and Channel Ferries to and from mainland Europe.

On Sunday 28 July 2019, David Randall celebrated his 600th show. “Assume The Position” started in June 2007 on UK City Radio before transferring a year later to Get Ready to ROCK! Radio. The show includes tracks played on the first show plus Upton Blues Festival highlights, new music and the regular features “Live Legends” and “Anniversary Rock” which this week celebrates the Island Records label 60th anniversary.
