Canadian singer songwriter Josh Taerk plays an exclusive live session via Get Ready to ROCK!’s Facebook page on Sunday 5 April at 21:00 BST (GMT+1)

Josh was born in Toronto, Canada. He is an official Recording Academy/Grammy Member and his  single ‘Beautiful Tragedy’ – the title track of his 2018 album – broke into the Billboard Top 40 Pop Charts.

Max Weinberg (Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band) has called Josh, ‘the most exciting new talent I have come across in years.’ Josh and Max have worked together since 2010 when Max asked Josh to open for him and his band in South Orange, New Jersey.

Then in 2011, Josh joined Max at Summerfest in Milwaukee to pay tribute to the late Clarence Clemons of The E Street Band. In October 2017, Max once again asked Josh to join him onstage and sing ‘Thunder Road’ at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, Canada.

Josh’s album Beautiful Tragedy, released in 2018, followed the EP ‘Stages’ which also garnered attention across US and UK radio stations.

Long-time supporter, GRTR! reviews and news editor, Jason Ritchie wrote: ” “Josh Taerk successfully melds a memorable melody for those who love a great hook, along with thought provoking lyrics for those who like a little substance to their musical listening.”

He adds:  “The live show is something of a first for Get Ready to ROCK! although not unique in these unusual times.  It will give readers and listeners a chance to hear a very talented contemporary singer songwriter and maybe investigate his music further now and in the future.”

The session will also be relayed via the website’s radio station.
