FM and Vintage Trouble scoop popular poll

In the Get Ready to ROCK! end of year popular poll melodic rockers FM were voted top album with ‘Heroes And Villains’ whilst readers and listeners confirmed the reviewers rating by making Vintage Trouble top live act.

FM’s album was described by GRTR! melodic rock writer Andy Nathan: “…the overriding impression is that this is probably the most overtly commercial of the albums they have recorded since reforming, possibly even since 1989’s ‘Tough It Out’.

The band resume their UK tour dates on 22 January at the Great British Rock & Blues Festival, Skegness.

Get Ready to ROCK!’s Managing Editor David Randall commented: “There was broad general agreement amongst readers and listeners with the reviewer selections.  FM have consolidated their comeback in recent years and featured well in both the album and live act polls.”

Vintage Trouble were reaffirmed as Top Live Act, whilst the popular choice for Top Album (i.e. a title not selected by the reviewers) was their 2015 album ’1 Hopeful Road’.

Features Editor Pete Feenstra described Vintage Trouble: “…a balance between spectacle, intensity, deep soul, R&B and good old fashioned rock and roll.”

The end of year ‘Best Of’ survey is a regular feature at www.getreadytorock.com and reflects the wide scope of rock music coverage at the website and on the dedicated radio station.  Get Ready to ROCK! reviewers choose their favourite five Top Albums and Live Acts of the year.

Get Ready to ROCK! Radio features ‘The Best of 2015′ in a two-hour special on Sunday 27 December at 22:00 GMT.
