I’ll get straight to the point, new album “The Moment” by Australia’s Mario Vayne is my favourite release of 2025 so far. I’d heard debut single “Rock n Roll Day” on Planet Rock and it’s Def Leppard meets Enuff Z Nuff vibe had me hooked from day one.
Massive sounding and nicely polished, the album is a modern album that harks back to an era that we all still love. There are elements of Def Leppard, Journey, Foreigner and Bryan Adams at play here and from the opening chords of “Diary of a Heart” I guarantee that you will be reaching for the volume control and giving it a good crank.
As far as highlights on “The Moment” go it would be easier to just give you the track listing. However, as well as the two afore mentioned tracks, I would also recommend starting with “Electric”, current single “Baby (Way You Love Me)”, “Diamond”, title-track “The Moment” and ballad “Sorry Ain’t Enough”.
The solid blend of great guitars, massive hooks and melodies (and let’s not overlook the quality of the songwriting here) make “The Moment” one of the most consistently good albums you will hear this year.
Hopefully tour dates will be announced soon. *****
