Exceptional, tremendous, fun, bonkers, take your pick but what is certain is that it’s Prog Rock for the masses and it will give anything else coming out in the next 12 months a real run for their money. Spock’s Beard are back, hallelujah! ****½

ROSS HARDING The Blood & The Blues
The thing which sets Ross Harding apart from his contemporaries, is the primal and primitive feel of his songs, his voice and his playing. He really does sound like he is playing and singing to save his soul. *****

Cytrus are described as a psychedelic funk band, so the listener might immediately think of Parliament or more specifically Funkadelic, purveyors of the genre since 1968.
This eight-piece band from Seattle are actually far more accessible and for those who like a fair helping of rock with their funk “Duality” will tick the box. *****

JOHN LEES’ BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST – Relativity
This is a magnificent record that manages to remain true to the legacy of Barclay James Harvest yet retains a contemporary feel that sits comfortably among the best of modern-day Progressive Rock and rewards the listener’s perseverance handsomely. There is no doubt that Lees and his band mates … should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved here. ****
