JUDIE TZUKE - The Met, Bury, 12 November 2015

Judie Tzuke heads out on the road again from 17 September, with a continuation of her ‘Songs and Stories’ format.  These intimate performances allow the audience to ask questions about her music and career whilst hearing some of her best-known material.

In 1979 Jude came to wider attention with the massive international hit ‘Stay With Me Till Dawn’.  Her debut album ‘Welcome To The Cruise’ remains a fan favourite.

In the 1980s, finding varying fortune via different labels/management, the seeds were being sown for Jude’s independent approach to music making in the late 1990s.  This led to the establishment of her own label – Big Moon Records.

She is currently preparing her next studio album, but in the meantime two volumes of her “polished demo” recordings are available via her website – Songclub 1 and Songclub Too.

She told GRTR!’s David Randall “There’s quite a few songs on there where we couldn’t improve on the demos.  I’m just as proud of these albums as any other and wanted to share the songs with fans.”

Says David: “We’ve recently placed greater emphasis on featured artists at our radio station and since we started in 2008 Jude has featured prominently in our singer songwriter sequence (Mon-Fri, 14:00) and elsewhere in our playlists.  We’ve also been covering her gigs and albums since 2002 via getreadytorock.com.

She is not only a really talented songwriter but a wonderful vocalist and our latest feature showcases some of her outstanding music including a couple of exclusive tracks from the forthcoming album.”

Judie Tzuke is featured on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio on Sunday 4 September, 2200 GMT.
