Christian Liljegren is still hard at work in the studio, this time with the sophomore release of his Golden Ressurrection project, entitled “Man with a mission”. This release picks up where the fine debut left off.
Again, dramatic, neo-classical power metal is on display here, with Liljegren in fine voice and young Tommy ReinXeed in fine fettle on guitar. Huge guitar and keyboards feature in a bombastic sound, with good, solid songs and no weak tracks. The digital release features two extra tracks, covers of “point of know return” (Kansas) and a fabulous rendition of Gary Moore’s “End of the world”, which makes the album for me. They also feature on the Japanese release of the album.
The physical release is excellent, but the digital release is better. Get the best of both worlds by buying the CD and the digital bonus tracks.
