Eagle Rock [Release date 28.04.14]
Having sold over 35 million records across 17 studio albums, Toto toured last year to celebrate their 35th anniversary and this new live DVD was recorded on Polish leg of that tour. The musicianship is technically superb, sonically sharp and the set list is packed with hits.
Amongst the tracks played in the 26 track set are massive worldwide hits “Africa”, “Rosanna” and “Hold The Line”, obvious highlights but you can’t overlook the likes of “”White Sister”, “Home of The Brave”, “Wings of Time” or the Steve Lukather sung “I’ll Be Over You”.
The footage slips effortlessly between colour and black and white and often also dips into spilt screen territory in this 2 hour show. The bonus material is a 20 minute behind the scenes feature.
“35th Anniversary- Live in Poland” is a real testament to the bands longevity and the good news is that Toto are currently locked away recording their first studio album since 2006′s “Falling In Between”- and following these recent live shows it promises to be something special.
Toto fans that were not lucky enough to catch the band on their recent 35th Anniversary tour will love this new DVD and will also be pleased to hear that the band look to be hanging around for their 40th anniversary. ****
