Progressive rockers Renaissance return to the UK in April with a series of dates as part of a European tour.

The band developed from the ashes of the seminal UK rock band, The Yardbirds in the late-1960s but it wasn’t until 1973 that the “classic line-up” recorded their definitive album ‘Ashes Are Burning’.  They were first acknowledged for uniquely blending progressive rock with classical influences and symphonic arrangements.

The band disbanded in the late 1980′s at which time Annie Haslam launched a solo career. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the original founding of Renaissance, Michael Dunford and Annie decided to form a new touring band in 2009.

Dunford died prematurely in 2012 shortly after the band recorded their first album in 13 years, ‘Symphony Of Light’, which also features guest appearances from Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) and John Wetton (Asia/King Crimson/UK and one-time Renaissance member).

The current personnel of Renaissance include: Annie Haslam lead vocals, Rave Tesar keyboards, David J Keyes bass guitar, Jason Hart keyboards, Frank Pagano drums and Ryche Chlanda acoustic guitars.
