After his stunning performance at the recent Hard Rock Hell AOR event, melodic hard rock singer Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen, Deep Purple) returns to the UK this summer for the Rewind North festival, 7 August at Capesthorne Hall, near Macclesfield in Cheshire.
May sees the release of the latest Sunstorm album ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’ (Frontiers) and several European promotional dates are also being lined up.
On Bank Holiday Monday, March 28, at 22:00 GMT there are the first two parts of a three-hour Joe Lynn Turner special on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio.
Joe chatted at length recently to the station’s David Randall. Says David: “Our chat was on the back of the release of the live album recorded in 1985 but there was no way such a productive career could be condensed into an hour. We thought two hours might be more generous but realised that we had to go for three! This is the first time we’ve developed a three hour artist feature.”
“Joe was particularly gracious and genuinely pleased that we have gone into some depth and also pleased with the music selections. We hope the extended feature will fully illustrate the range of his work from late-seventies band Fandango to his collaborations with Glenn Hughes and of course the more familiar band liaisons.
From my point of view it has been a glorious voyage of re-discovery and I hope listeners will share this aspect.”
The third part of the special will be made available exclusively via Mixcloud.
