In his weekly show on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio on Sunday 8 January, David Randall previewed the Butlins Big Weekends: The Great British Rock & Blues Festival and Giants Of Rock
Two major rock events get 2017 underway in terms of the festival calendar.
The Great British Rock & Blues Festival weekend, is held at the Butlins resort in Skegness, Lincolnshire from Friday 20th to Monday 23rd January 2017.
Amongst the acts appearing (rock stage) are Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, Joanne Shaw Taylor and Top Topham’s Early Yardbirds whilst the blues stage welcomes Billy Boy Miskimmin, The Blues Band, Paul Jones & Dave Kelly, Lil’ Jimmy Reed, Toronzo Cannon and Moreland & Arbuckle amongst others.
Tickets are priced from £99.

The following weekend, Giants Of Rock takes place at Butlins resort in Minehead, Somerset from Friday 27th to Monday 30th January 2017.
Steve Hackett headlines the event which also includes Ian Anderson’s Jethro Tull, John Lees’ Barclay James Harvest, Popa Chubby, Gun, Bernie Marsden, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Phil Campbell’s All Star Band.
Hackett’s appearance at the event comes ahead of his run of UK and Ireland tour dates, which kick off in Dublin on April 26.
Tickets are priced from £85 per person.
