Alter Bridge plan to record their next album in 2022.

Joan Armatrading’s new album ‘Consequences’ is released on June 18 via BMG.

Asia are celebrating their 40th anniversary by releasing a 5CD boxset ‘The Reunion Albums: 2007 – 2012′ through BMG Records on 11 June.

Big Big Train release their new album ‘Common Ground’ on July 30.

Black Label Society are currently recording their next album with a planned release in November.

Black Veil Brides have pushed back the projected release date of their new album,The Phantom Tomorrow’, to October 29 from the previously announced June 4.

Jackson Browne releases his new album, ‘Downhill From Everywhere‘, on July 23.

Dec Burke releases his new album, ‘Life In Two Dimensions’, later this year through Gravity Dream Music.

Roger Chapman  will release a new solo album, ‘Life In The Pond’, through Ruf Records on June 25.

Darkthrone release their new album ‘Eternal Hails’ through Peaceville Records on June 25.

Dream Theater (pictured) have announced the ‘Lost Not Forgotten Archives’, a new collaboration between the band and record label InsideOut Music. It will see the band’s own Ytsejam Records catalogue reissued, alongside some brand new additions to this special collectors series.

Duran Duran release their new album, ‘Future Past’, on October 22.

‘Pure‘ is Robben Ford‘s new instrumental studio album and it is released 27 August on earMUSIC.

Goo Goo Dolls release a ‘Rarities’ album on June 25.

Silver Lining Music release ‘Red Brick City’ on July 23, the debut album from Heavy Water, the new project featuring SAXON‘s Biff Byford and his son Seb.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds release a best of, ‘Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)’, on June 11 via Sour Mash Records

Hardline release their latest album ‘Heart, Mind & Soul’ on July 9 via Frontiers.

Toby Hitchcock releases his new album ‘Changes’ on July 9 via Frontiers.

L.A. Guns release ‘Cocked and Loaded Live’ on July 9.

Escape Music release a 1,000 run limited CD of Life By Night’s 1985 self-titled album on July 16. The band featured vocalist and bassist Tom Croucier, the brother of Ratt bassist Juan Croucier and the album was produced by Richie Zito.

Yngwie Malmsteen has announced a new album, ‘Parrabelum‘ which is released on July 23 via Music Theories Recordings/Mascot Label Group.

Manic Street Preachers new album, ‘The Ultra Vivid Lament’, is released on 3 September. The band have also announced UK tour dates for Sep & Oct.

Night Ranger release their new album ‘ATBPO’ on August 6 on Frontiers.

Axel Rudi Pell releases a new covers album, ‘Diamonds Unlocked II’, on July 30 via SPV/Steamhammer.

Porcupine Tree release a new live album, ‘House Of Blues, Los Angeles 2003′. Originally available on Bandcamp, the live recording will be available as a double album on blue vinyl on July 31.

KK’s Priest release their debut album, ‘Sermons of the Sinner’, on 20 August via Explorer1 Music Group/EX1 Records. Former Judas Priest drummer Les Binks is no longer involved due to a wrist injury and has been replaced by Sean Elg.

Troy Redfern will release his new single ‘Waiting For Your Love‘ on Friday May 21. The single is taken from his forthcoming album ‘…The Fire Cosmic!’ released by RED7 Records on Friday August 6.

To start their 40th anniversary celebrations, REM will reissue their 1981 debut single ‘Radio Free Europe’ on 7″ vinyl on July 23.

Bruce Springsteen’s next album is recorded and will be released soon according to the man himself.

James Stevenson (The Alarm, Holy Holy, Gene Loves Jezebel) releases his second solo album, ‘The Other Side of the World’, Pink Gun on July 9.

Stone The Crows and their vocalist, Maggie Bell, are the subject of four reissues from Repertoire Records, along with two solo albums from Maggie. These are all released on June 25.

The Stranglers release their new album ‘Dark Matters’ on September 10.

UK Festivals 2021

The Darkness headline the Saturday night at the Steelhouse Festival on 24 July replacing Anthrax.

Marillion plan to livestream one of their November Hammersmith shows.

The Damn Truth support King King on the latter’s Feb 2022 UK tour.

Bruce Dickinson has a handful of spoken word shows in August.

This year’s Roskilde festival has been cancelled for the second year running due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions.

Indoor Summer Festival 2021 has been postponed to September 2-4 2022, at Markthalle in Hamburg, Germany. Artists set to appear include H.E.A.T., Lee Aaron, Wig Wam, Paul Laine, Coney Hatch and more.

Rambin’ Man Fair due to take place in July has been cancelled and hopes to return next year.

This year’s SOS Festival has been postponed until next July.

London’s Royal Albert Hall will be open for full capacity shows from July.

Glastonbury has been granted a licence for a 50,000 capacity event in September.

Radar Festival has been postponed to 29-31 July 2022 with a new line-up TBA.

Download will take place this summer between June 18-20, with a 10,000 capacity and no social distancing, as part of the government’s ongoing Events Research Programme.

Producer Michael Wagner has announced he is retiring from the music business.

Anthrax celebrate their 40th anniversary in style as each week, starting on May 3, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, concluding on the band’s official founding anniversary of July 18th, Anthrax‘s social media accounts will offer a series of video testimonials sent in by former band members, fellow musicians, colleagues, and industry veterans – sharing behind-the-scenes stories of working with the band and what Anthrax’s legacy has meant all these years on.

Guitarist Luke Appleton (Absolva, ex-Iced Earth) has joined Blaze Bayley’s band.

Trevor Lukather has revealed he had been dismissed from Levara by email, the band he formed with two other musicians. It apparently happened six weeks ago, however, he held off on making it public to allow the band’s debut album to be released on May 14.

Edgar Wright’s documentary The Sparks Brothers will open this year’s Sundance Film Festival: London on 29 July.

Thom Gimbell has officially left Foreigner after almost thirty years in the band. Guitarist Luis Maldonado (Train) has been named as his replacement.

John Lodge has said in a recent interview that the Moody Blues won’t tour again.

Megadeth have parted ways with bassist David Ellefson in the wake of recent “grooming” allegations.
