I’m always very excited when I hear of an album that is not just made for pleasing the musical mainframe, but from a place of education and awareness of situations that many may not know is happening in today’s society.

This album by Those Made Broken is a masterclass in turning societal frustrations into a truly masterful musical experience. From the opening riff, it’s clear Those Made Broken aren’t holding back. The lyrics tackle contemporary issues like politics and toxic masculinity with an unflinching honesty, weaving the narratives that resonate deeply with the anxieties of modern life.

What truly sets “A door you can never close” apart is how the music itself mirrors the lyrical content. The thrashing riffs and driving bass lines aren’t just background noise; they’re an extension of the “not so silent rage” that penetrates every track. The added percussion elements feel like a furious heartbeat, amplifying the raw passion the band clearly has for both their art and the messages they’re conveying.

This isn’t just an album you listen to; it’s an album you feel. It’s a release, a sonic explosion of frustration and a powerful commentary on the world we live in.

I can really appreciate bands that lay everything out on the table and create truly captivating art through musical expression and form. ****
