Pete Feenstra Rock & Blues Show, Get Ready to ROCK! Radio
Tuesday 8 July, 19:00 (P-A-U-L Lamb interview)
Tuesday 15 July, 19:00 (Bernie Marsden feature)
GRTR! Features Editor Pete Feenstra has recently expanded his weekly rock and blues show by one hour as part of a regular five-hour blues rock sequence.
Pete’s show is designed to introduce listeners to new artists as well as the more established and to signpost albums and artists that may have been missed, or those that will repay further investigation.
The extra hour allows deeper exploration of the world of blues-rock and the show will include the occasional interview and special feature. Upcoming subjects are U.S.-based blues rocker P-A-U-L Lamb and legendary blues rock guitarist Bernie Marsden.
P-A-U-L Lamb And The Detroit Breakdown have cut their teeth performing hundreds of shows across the US, as well as playing Glastonbury and touring with Walter Trout, Peter Green and many others.
They’ve recently released a compilation ‘Take It From The Top’ which brings together tracks from Paul Lamb & The Detroit Breakdown’s first three albums namely ‘Hangin’ On For Dear Life’, ‘Gunshot Lullaby’ and ‘Tales From The Gravel’ as well as a track from the ‘Sunrise From The Other Side’ EP. The band played UK dates in June.
Bernie Marsden is perhaps best known for his time in the original Whitesnake and co-wrote the band’s early hits ‘Here I Go Again’ and ‘Fool For Your Loving’ amongst others. In August he releases a new solo album ‘Shine’ which features guest appearances from David Coverdale and Joe Bonamassa. Bernie also appears at the Steelhouse Festival, 20 July.
Pete Feenstra is a well established and respected music impresario and writer. He has contributed reviews and interviews to Get Ready to ROCK! since 2003 and is Features and Blues Rock Editor.
