Beaverwood Club, Chislehurst, Kent 28 August 2014

Sean Tyla – frontman of Tyla Gang – plays a rare gig on Thursday 28 August at the Beaverwood Club, Chislehurst, Kent.  The band features Sean, Bruce Irvine, Michael Desmarais, John McCoy and Max Lorentz.

Tyla has been described as one of the pioneers of the burgeoning “pub-rock” scene in the UK in the 1970s.  This spawned his band Ducks Deluxe and others like Brinsley Schwarz and Dr.Feelgood and many found an outlet via the label Stiff Records.

He recently chatted to Get Ready to ROCK! Features Editor and radio presenter Pete Feenstra about his long career which includes stints in Ducks Deluxe, as a solo performer, and with Tyla Gang.  (See broadcast times, above).

The radio showcase includes tracks from the new album and others from his various musical activities over the years.

With Tyla Gang, he’s just released ‘Live In Stockholm’ (Angel Air Records) recorded in March 2013.  Repertoire Records are due to release a live Rockpalast DVD and CD set of  from 1978.

The band have German dates lined up from late-January 2015.
