The UK album charts will feature streaming data from next month in a move that mirrors the recent change to the singles chart.

In this week’s UK album charts Blackberry Smoke debuted at no.17.

Vocalist Dennis Churchill Dries (White Sister/Tattoo Rodeo) has posted on his Facebook page that his solo album is at the mastering stage. No release date as yet.

Def Leppard have delayed plans on recording their new album until the autumn due to a large amount of touring commitments.

Ian Anderson has announced plans for a touring theatre production based on the life of the real Jethro Tull. ‘Jethro Tull: The Rock Opera’ will tell the story of the English agriculturist as if taking place in the near future. Joining Ian Anderson in the band are bassist David Goodier, keyboardist John O’Hara, guitarist Florian Opahle and drummer Scott Hammond. There will be guest musicians to be announced and touring is due to start in the autumn.
