Get Ready to ROCK! Radio features two recent interviews on Sunday 31 May.

Moody Blues bassist and songwriter John Lodge has recently released his first solo album for 38 years.

“10,000 Light Years Ago’ was released on 4 May via Esoteric Antenna and reunites Lodge with special guest contributions from former Moody Blues members – flautist Ray Thomas and keyboardist Mike Pinder – on the song ‘Simply Magic.’  Legendary guitarist Chris Spedding also appears on the album, among others.

A member of Moody Blues since 1966, Lodge has written hit songs for the band such as ‘Peak Hour’, ‘Ride My See Saw’, ‘The Eyes Of A Child’, ‘Isn’t Life Strange’, ‘I’m Just a Singer (In A Rock & Roll Band)’, ‘Steppin’ In A Slide Zone’, ‘Gemini Dream’ (with Justin Hayward) and many more.

John was in recent conversation with Pete Feenstra and their chat is broadcast in Pete’s Sunday Feature show at 19:00.

The Moody Blues start a UK tour on 12 June.

There’s also a rare outing for her version of Carl Orff’s ‘O’ Fortuna’, a collaboration with Daryl Way in 1985 that appeared on a rare 12″ single.
