Founder member of Mr.Big, Paul Gilbert releases his latest solo album on 27 May, ‘I Can Destroy’.

Although best known for his work with Mr. Big and Racer X, Gilbert has toured with Joe Satriani’s G3 and has influenced a genration of would-be shredders.  When 18 he was hired to teach at Hollywood’s Guitar Institute of Technology. His groundbreaking ‘Intense Rock’ videos and DVDs have inspired legions of guitarists to improve their accuracy, speed, and phrasing.

‘I Can Destroy’ is Gilbert’s 18th solo album produced by Kevin Shirley (Joe Bonamassa, Europe).

On Sunday 8 May, in his weekly feature show for Get Ready to ROCK! Radio, Pete Feenstra chats to Paul Gilbert about the album and his music in general.

Also on 8 May, the third of a series of archive specials featuring melodic pomp rockers Magnum explores the band’s revival in the past decade.  Magnum’s UK tour starts 11 May in Southampton.

Get Ready to ROCK! Radio broadcasts an eclectic mix of rock music 18 hours a day with specialist sequences for progressive, blues and singer songwriter.  It is available via the website, in iTunes (Internet radio, under classic rock) and via the Tune-in phone app.
