News: SARI SCHORR – Album, UK Tour, Interview (August 2016)

Sari Schorr

New York-based singer songwriter Sari Schorr releases her debut album via Manhaton Records on 2 September.  Sari plays the Colne R&B Festival on 29 August followed by extensive UK tour dates.

‘A Force Of Nature’ is produced by blues veteran Mike Vernon who heard Sari perform at an award ceremony in 2015.  The album features guitarists Walter Trout, Innes Sibun and Oli Brown.

She came to wider attention in the USA touring with the likes of Joe Louis Walker and Popa Chubby, whilst garnering comparisons with both Janis Joplin and Tina Turner.  Aside from music, Sari is also active campaigning for humanitarian causes via Amnesty International and her own project ‘Matters’.

On Sunday 28 August at 20:00 on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio, she chats to Pete Feenstra about her music with tracks from the new album.  This show is repeated on Tuesday 30 August at 21:00 GMT
