Single review: CIRCUS 66 – Save The Damn World

Having already made a seismic impression with their live shows and debut album ‘Follow the Black Crow’, sizzling four-piece Circus 66 unleash this new chapter from their soon to be released sophomore ‘Elements’.

For those who’ve caught the band before, their own brand of supercharged hard rock flavoured with shards of Southern fried goodness will already be an addiction but ‘Save the Damn World’ ups the ante, the outfit sounding bigger, dirtier and louder than ever.

Opening with the blistering howl of vocalist Annabelle Zaychenko, the freight train punch of Matt Pearce’s riff riding on the thunderous groove of rhythm section Luke Ward and Leigh Holley, it’s an adrenaline rush that will make you a convert for life. With the accompanying post apocalyptic video shot by Kris Barras, this is a mouthwatering taster for the next album and should put the quartet firmly on the road to even bigger things. Ballsy, hook-filled and utterly irresistible, you’ll be singing this for weeks.
