If you can't find what you're looking for - or wish to refine your search to include only references to the key search term - try putting inverted commas around the search term e.g. "Steve Lukather" or "Black Star Riders"
For example if you enter Black Star Riders the results will include all instances of "Black" "Star" and "Riders". The search will also be slower.

Album review: MANIC EDEN
…“Do Angels Die” and some Jimmy Page like moments to “Ride The Storm”, and with David Coverdale off working with Page at the time you do wonder if a couple of the tracks on the album were written with the idea off passing them over for consideration. “Manic Eden” is well worth a listen if you haven’t heard it before, and a great one to revisit if you haven’t heard it for years. **** Review by Nikk Gunns Featured Artist: JOSH TAERK Since early 2020… Continue reading
Album review : SON OF MAN – Gaslight
…o figure, strings and acoustic guitar intro sounds like a film soundtrack, until it’s ripped asunder by another Page style riff. It’s framed by Celtic guitar tone and a choral drenched wall of sound which has an eerie Micky Jones quality. Not a bad ghost to have in the machine. Marco James’s concluding piano coda is the perfect finish to an album you will want to revisit. **** Review by Pete Feenstra Featured Artist: JOSH TAERK Since early 2020 J… Continue reading

…cordings section and altering his original opinion in places. Hindsight is a fine thing and demonstrates the “permanence” of the printed page and the need for accuracy versus online material which can easily be amended. ***1/2 With the passing of David Crosby in 2023 we can take a fresh look at his early band The Byrds with Andy McArthur. The band’s jangly, commercial psychedelic pop gave way to country/roots rock and influenced… Continue reading
