Fearless Vampire Killers – Militia Of The Lost

Goremount Records 2012

Fearless Vampire Killers’ first album is definitely not a disappointment! Each song boasts its own unique element, be it an extremely catchy chorus or an amazing beat, to ensure the listener keeps each song on repeat.

‘Bow Ties On Dead Guys’ not only has a funny title but supplies an emo pop/punk and rock feel, making it one of the anthems on this brilliant album. ‘Fetish For The Finite’ gives yet another great vibe, with some growls and a bit of good old guitar. These are just two of eleven run-around-partying worthy songs. The voices of Kier Kemp (vocals) and Laurence Beveridge (vocals and guitar) work together perfectly, with powerful melodies and harmonies. Not forgetting the musical and vocal talents of Cyrus Barrone (backing vocals and guitar), Drew Woolnough (backing vocals and bass) and Luke Illingworth (drums) who each individually provide some of the most awesomest music I’ve ever heard.

I would recommend FVK to fans of My Chemical Romance. Also, fans of Green Day and Avenged Sevenfold will probably enjoy this band (I know I have!)

To summarize, I think ‘Militia Of The Lost’ is superb album. Most albums nowadays can be a little boring or same-ish towards the middle or end, but this one keeps getting better and better! Although Fearless Vampire Killers may not be world-famous at this present moment in time, I guarantee they will be in a few months or so. Mark my words, these guys are going to be big.
