Jimmy Barnes releases ‘Blue Christmas’ on November 25.

Black Country Communion plan to record their fifth album next year.

Black Sabbath’s ‘Heaven And Hell’ and ‘Mob Rules’ albums will be released as deluxe boxsets on 4 November and 18 November, respectively. Both albums have been newly remastered and include rare and unreleased tracks.

Blink 182 have reformed with a new album and US tour planned for next year.

Burnt Out Wreck release their new album ‘Stand And Fight‘ on 18 November on Burnt Out Wreckords.

John Cale releases his first album in over a decade, ‘Mercy’, on January 20 via Domino.

Gaz Coombes (Supergrass) will release his latest solo album ‘Turn The Car Around’ on January 13.

Hugh Cornwell has released new single ‘Coming Out Of The Wilderness‘ ahead of his tenth solo album, ‘Moments Of Madness’, which is out on October 21.

District 97 have announced a Kickstarter campaign for their fifth album.

Dream Theater plan to start work on their next album later in 2023.

Empyre have signed with KScope Records.

Europe are planning a tour and documentary for their 40th anniversary next year, with a new album to follow in 2024.

Green Day release ‘Nimrod (25th Anniversary Edition)’ on January 27 digitally, as a triple CD boxset and a five-LP boxset.

Inhaler release their second album ‘Cuts & Bruises’ on February 17 via Polydor Records.

Iron Maiden’s ‘The Number Of The Beast’ album gets a 40th anniversary release on November 18. The song ‘Total Eclipse’ replaces ‘Gangland’ on this version and the band’s live album ‘Beast Over Hammersmith’ is also issued on vinyl for the first time.

Kansas release a career-spanning 3CD collection, Another Fork In  The Road – 50 Years Of Kansas’ via InsideOut on December 9. It includes a newly recorded version of ‘Can I Tell You’.

King Crimson have announced a physical edition of their upcoming documentary film ‘In The Court Of The Crimson King, King Crimson At 50.’ It will be released on Blue-ray and DVD through Panegyric Recordings on November 11 as a two-disc set and as an eight-disc set on December 2.

Monster Magnet release ‘Test Patterns: Vol. 1′ on November 11 via God Unknown Records.

Queen release a new single, ‘Face It Alone’, on 13 October. It features Freddie Mercury and was originally recorded at the time of the band’s ‘The Miracle’ album in 1989.

Rage are planning to release a double album and book to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary in 2024.

Meat Loaf’s ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ has topped the UK all-time bestselling debut albums chart. It was compiled as part of National Album Day by the Official UK Charts Company and BBC Radio 2.

Guitarist Dave Navarro will sit out Jane’s Addiction’s upcoming tour due to his continuing battle with “long COVID”. He will be replaced on the road by Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen.

KK Downing and Les Binks will join their former band Judas Priest at next month’s Rock N Roll Hall of Fame induction.

Mick Mars has announced he will no longer tour with Motley Crue although he will remain as a member of the band.

The last surviving member of Big Star, drummer Jody Stephens, has announced a US tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band’s #1 Record. Stephens will be joined by R.E.M.’s Mike Mills, Wilco’s Pat Sansone, The Posies’ Jon Auer and The dB’s Chris Stamey across six US shows, playing the album in full.

Rob Halford’s ‘Biblical: Rob Halford’s Heavy Metal Scriptures’ is published on  November 1.

The Australian Mint will issue a series of coins next year to commemorate AC/DC’s 50th anniversary.

Brett Carlisle replaces Andrew Freeman as vocalist with Great White.
