Another emerging new British hardcore metal act, this time from
Newquay. Envy The Fallen are exponents of fairly extreme metal core of
the shouty vocal persuasion. It is fast and furious stuff from the off
and over the six tracks on the EP they prove themselves more than
capable.
Of the tracks featured the ones to watch for are album title track ‘
Hoist The Colours’, ‘This Is Not Goodbye’ which is uncompromisingly
heavy and the punishing ‘Until Lambs Become Lions’, you can well imagine
the carnage in the circle pit during this one.
This is a good debut from the guys and it is a cut above some of the similar bands I have reviewed of late which is refreshing.
