Universal Music are proud to announce they have launched T.Rex’s Official Timeline on Facebook and are involving fans in creating the ultimate resource and history for the band!

The T.Rex timeline makes the most of Facebook’s latest innovation and enables fans old and new to experience and relive the fascinating history of T. Rex. Fans can explore key events and discover a host of rare and never seen before content including photos, videos and memorabilia. We’ve been receiving some amazing material from fans since launching the Facebook page so wanted to expand on this and launch a public call to arms to help build the ultimate interactive fan resource’.
Universal have added masses of lost gems, official photos, videos, posters to the official timeline – but this is only the beginning! From Monday 23rd April fans will have the chance to contribute their own memories to T.Rex history. Fans will be able to submit their own photos, memorabilia, collectables, facts and stories via the email address: t.rex@umusic.comThe best material will be selected for inclusion in the official timeline and published in early May. Fans will be fully accredited and prizes will be awarded for the most original content, stories and liked content
A number of timeline based initiatives have been launched around this for fans to get involved with including
Timeline Treasure Hunt Answers to 3 questions relating to the Electric Warrior period are hidden within the 1972 section of the timeline. Fans answering all 3 questions correctly will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a limited edition Electric Warrior canvas print and the T.Rex back catalogue.
To further celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Glam Rock, Universal have created a Facebook app which allows Fans to ‘Glam up’ their Facebook profile. Using the T.Rex app, fans can select from a number of T.Rex inspired Facebook covers to add a little bit of glam to their own Facebook timeline!
For even more celebration of 40 years of Electric Warrior and Glam Rock, Absolute Radio are having a T.Rex takeover day all day on Monday 23rd April. Listen every hour for a great chance to win a Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus Guitar, almost identical to the one Marc Bolan was often seen performing with.
T.Rex Electric Warrior Release:-
Deluxe, Super Deluxe, Special 2LP vinyl and digital exclusive editions of T. Rex’s monumental Electric Warrior album will be released by Universal on Monday April 23rd 2012, crammed with previously unreleased demos and out-takes.
The release celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the album and the Glamiversary of Glam Rock, a flamboyant pop era that was heralded by the release of T. Rex’s chart-topping Electric Warrior, and featuring No. 1 single “Hot Love”, “Jeepster” and “Get It On”.

Since early 2020 Josh has been entertaining us with exclusive monthly live sessions, streamed via Facebook.
In 2023 he signed a recording deal with Sony in Canada and released a new single on 15 September.
