Release Date – 10th September 2012
The gauge of a good album around these parts is one that has both my wife and I reaching for the volume control on the car CD player in turn until we reach silly volumes, ‘House Of Sins’ had us doing just that from the first track. This is the band’s debut album and what a cracker it is.
The band have made a name for themselves on the live circuit over the last few years, including a Download appearance in 2011, and they have managed to capture the live energy on the recording as well. Opening with ‘House Of Sin’ the band hit the ground running. Think Guns ‘n Roses and Motley Crue and you are in the right big haired, bad assed area. ‘Liquor Up’ comes next ( pun, what pun !) which is a dirty, sleazy rocker of the first degree.
The playing throughout is top class, especially Jim Bohemian’s guitar work, he can play up a storm. As well as straight forward rockers there are key changes, rhythm changes and excellent harmonies in each track which really hold your interest and leave you wanting more. Lead track from the disc is the ballad ‘Coming Home’ which is a real ‘tour de force’, a lighters in the air classic that will stick in your head and take a week to shift.
This is a damn fine album, a debut disc to be proud of and one that will stand the test of time. Remember the name Knock Out Kaine as you will be hearing a lot more of it very soon if there is any justice in the world. Just go buy !!
