Joe Stump burst onto the guitar instrumental scene in 1993, producing ripping guitar work in the vein of Yngwie Malmsteen. He has continued to be uncompromising in his work over the years and has been classified as one of the fastest guitar players of all time.
While he doesn’t mince around with his speed on this work, it is the melodies that grabs one’s attention. While Yngwie’s influence does feature here, this work sends me back to the heady instrumental albums along the lines of Vinnie Moore’s “Time Odyssey”, the melodies fast and ecstatically uplifting.
