Single review: THE SPITFIRES – Enough Is Enough

THE SPITFIRES - Enough Is Enough

Order link [Release date 19.07.19]

Something a little different from the Spitfires, who have been gaining fans through their relentless touring and picking up a few plaudits from legends such as Paul Weller.

‘Enough Is Enough’ is a perfect summer tune, full of catchy beats, horns and it has a big tip of the hat to Hard-Fi, which is no surprise as there is a Hard-Fi mix on the three versions available. The other mix by the Meridian Sound System harks back to the 90′s ‘Madchester’ scene in the groove/beats. All three versions add a different dimension to then song and they all sound good played loud.

‘Enough Is Enough’ marks another step in the Spitfires musical evolution, moving away a little from their Mod revivalist roots into a more indie rock/dance arena. They have enough of a loyal fanbase to take a chance like this, they just need to hope it pays off and gains them new listeners/fans. ****
