Engaging, easy to read and authoritve, Neil Daniels’ latest offering “AC/DC- The Early Years with Bon Scott” is essential reading for fans of the band. Having grown up watching a Brian Johnson fronted AC/DC and only hearing Scott on record, this book almost brings the band’s earlier line-up to life and is a great insight into their rise to worldwide success.
Covering the years from the bands formation in 1973 up to Bon Scott’s untimely death in 1980, and a further section on 1980/81 and the “Back In Black” album, the book also includes some great photos.
The book features a foreword by Uriah Heep’s Mick Box and afterword’s by Bruce Kulick and Doro Pesch in addition to a comprehensive discography, list of tours and timeline as well as an appendix with a truncated history of the bands post-Scott years.
