On Sunday 15 July, in his weekly show on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio, David Randall previewed the Folk Festival playing several tracks from some of the artists appearing at this year’s event (14:11)
One of the longest established folk festivals (held each year since 1965) takes place 2-5 August at Cherry Hinton Hall, fifteen minutes away from Cambridge’s historic city centre.
As usual, there is an eclectic range of music on offer, with a mix of traditional folk artists and the more contemporary. The main stages this year include First Aid Kit, John Prine, Rosanne Cash, Patti Smith and Janis Ian.
A dedicated stage – The Den – provides a platform for emerging artists under 30 years old whilst ‘The Hub’ is another performance area with access to workshops.
This family-friendly event is perfect for all ages and with various ticket types available.
Cambridge Folk Festival takes place between 2-5 August at Cherry Hinton Hall.
