Get Ready to ROCK! Radio has a “prog” theme on Sunday 29 March, with three special features including interviews with some of the genre’s significant movers and shakers.
Original Genesis guitarist and founder member Anthony Phillips chats about his career with tracks from the recent 5 disc anthology at 16:00.
Symphonic rockers Renaissance play rare UK dates in April and are featured in an hour-special at 22:00 with their vocalist Annie Haslam chatting about the band’s progress from the early 1970s.
And the “prog” theme is rounded off with Steve Hackett (Anthony Phillips’ successor in Genesis) chatting about his new album ‘Wolflight’ on the eve of its release (23:00).
Future features include Kiki Dee (Part 1, Sunday 5 April, 16:00) and Deborah Bonham (Sunday 5 April, 22:00)
Get Ready to ROCK! Radio recently announced that it was giving a higher profile to specially selected “featured artists” with more of the artists’ music featured in the general playlists.
Get Ready to ROCK! Radio broadcasts 18 hours a day from 06:00 GMT and the playlists reflect the broad content at www.getreadytorock.com. The service is available via the dedicated website, in iTunes (radio) and the Tunein phone app as well as various internet radio online directories.
