Postponed/cancelled gigs & tours

Corey Taylor has cancelled his upcoming US tour.

Nine Skies have cancelled their UK tour which was due to start in March.

Steve Harley is rescheduling all shows that were scheduled to take place between  March and June 2024, whilst he recovers from ill health. Most shows have been rescheduled to 2025, bar shows at Whitby, Stafford and Solihull which have been cancelled. Shows that were scheduled for October and November 2024 have also been cancelled.

Metal Church have cancelled all their planned shows for 2024 as guitarist Kurt Vanderhoof undergoes treatment for his back.

Vinyl sales in the UK during 2023 topped 5.9m units, aided by the likes of new albums from the Rolling Stones and Taylor Swift. These represent the highest annual vinyl sales since 1990.

EMI was the top streaming label in the UK in 2023, followed by RCA. Warner’s Rhino Music was the top streaming catalogue label.

Streaming accounted for 87.7% of music consumption in the UK last year, according to UK record industry trade group BPI, with 179.6 billion streams being delivered across 2023. CD sales are still in decline, down 6.9% on 2022, and cassette sales were down by 30%, from 195,000 units to 136,000 units.

Arch Enemy have “amicably” parted ways with long-time guitarist Jeff Loomis and his replacement is Joey Conception.

JOANovARC have added two new members – Chloe Whitworth (drums/backing vocals) & Emma Hodgson (lead vocals/guitar) – and the band plan to tour and release new music later this year.

John Mitchell (Frost*, It Bites, Lonely Robot) has replaced Jonathan Casey in the David Cross Band.
